2. What is Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation?
Child sexual exploitation (CSE) is a form of child sexual abuse. Child sexual exploitation is a term used to describe where an individual or group takes advantage of an imbalance of power to coerce, manipulate or deceive a child under the age of 18 into sexual activity.
Child sexual exploitation does not always involve physical contact; it can also occur through the use of technology, such as social media and gaming Apps and is referred to as online child sexual abuse and exploitation (OCSEA).
Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) – CSAM includes still images, videos, and illustrated, computer-generated or other forms of realistic depictions, as well as live streaming broadcasts of a child in a sexually explicit context or engaging in sexually explicit acts. KMM recognises these risks and has implemented robust measures to prevent such content within the App.
